Wolves go 2-0 in the Northwestern Pizza Ranch Classic

Orange City, Iowa- Cardinal Stritch University Men’s soccer team won a hard fought game against game against Northwestern College (Iowa). With a 1-0 victory over the Red Raiders, Stritch improved to 2-0 on the young season. The Wolves went undefeated in the Northwestern Pizza Ranch Classic.
Both Stritch and Northwestern College had opportunities to score in the first half but were shut out. Both teams had two shots but came up empty.
Stritch found the back of the net in the second half. With less than one minute expired in the second half Ben Allen (Whalley, England) beat the goalie and put the Wolves ahead 1-0.
Harry Shatwell (Cheshire, England) led the Wolves to victory as he stopped every shot the Red Raiders sent his way. Shatwell recorded seven saves.
Stritch soccer returns to the field on when they take on Saint Ambrose University in their home opener. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. This game is part of the Wolves Four Corners Classic.
