Greg Daggett is the new head coach of the Wolves Cross Country program
Milwaukee, Wis. – Cardinal Stritch University Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Greg Daggett as head coach for the Wolves cross country program. Daggett, hired to coach both the men’s and women’s teams, replaces Karen Rinehart at the position.

“I’m very excited for the opportunity to coach here at Stritch,” Daggett said. “I feel that my experiences throughout my coaching and running career will afford me an excellent opportunity to help our runners grow into successful athletes and people.”

Daggett, who began his coaching career in 1996, has coached for two Wisconsin high schools, New Berlin Eisenhower and Waukesha Catholic Memorial. While at Eisenhower, he was the head track and field coach and cross country coach for both the boys’ and girls’ programs. Daggett served as an assistant coach for both sports while serving on the staff at Catholic Memorial.

Coach Daggett comes to Stritch as a certified level 2 coach by the USA Track and Field Association (USATF). He received his certification from the USATF in distance and endurance. He is an avid runner himself having competed in 21 marathons, including the 2010 Boston Marathon.

“Coach Daggett brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge and we’re very lucky to have brought him on as the leader of our cross country program,” Director of Athletic Pat Clemens said. “I’m extremely confident that he will build upon a foundation laid by the previous coach and will grow our program into a successful one.”

Daggett currently also works as an Information Technology Technician for Fidelity National Information Services. The father of four also runs his own photography company as he’s a member of the Professional Photographers Association.
