Stritch cross country head coach Karen Rinehart steps down from position
Milwaukee, Wis. – Karen Rinehart, head coach of the Cardinal Stritch University men’s and women’s cross country teams, has announced she will be stepping down from the position. Rinehart will be stepping down to pursue other career opportunities.

“I’m sad to be leaving the program and the student-athletes because they were all wonderful to work with and showed great strides throughout this past season,” Rinehart said. “I felt that the timing was right to make this move for my career and wish the athletes, the department, and the University nothing but success as we part ways.”

Rinehart, who took over the program last fall, will be leaving Stritch after accepting a job to work in the Business Career Center at nearby Marquette University.

“We’re sad to see Coach Rinehart go, but we’re also excited for her as she embarks on new challenges in her career,” Director of Athletic Pat Clemens said. “We certainly appreciate all the time and effort that she placed into the cross country program here at Stritch and wish her all the best as she moves on.”

The search for Rinehart’s replacement will begin immediately. All inquiries may be directed to Pat Clemens, Director of Athletics, at pjclemens@stritch.edu.
