Milwaukee, Wis. - After completing his first season as the Cardinal Stritch University Wolves men's basketball head coach, Drew Diener continues to grow the program's reach as he announces the first annual Stritch Basketball Resident Camp.
"We're very excited to launch this camp," Diener said. "I feel that it's extremely important that we reach out to the community to offer camps such as this and really look forward to the opportunity to improve ourselves as coaches and people by working with youth players."
The camp is scheduled to run from Jun 13. through June 16 as an overnight camp that will have campers staying on the campus of Stritch. Some of the camp features include instruction by Coach Diener along with some of the top high school coaches in the state of Wisconsin.
Campers will also get visits and instructional session by some former NCAA Division I players and coaches.
"The campers will get a lot of skills taught during the three-day camp," Diener adds. "They'll have some of the best coaches working with them which will make for a educational and successful atmosphere."
Diener and his Wolves finished the 2009-10 season ranked No. 9 nationally in the NAIA, closing their season with a 27-6 overall record and claiming the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Regular Season Championship with a 12-0 conference record.
