Game 1
Game 2

Milwaukee, Wis. – Cardinal Stritch University came into Senior day after winning one from Calumet St. Joseph and wanted to build off the win. The Wolves offense was held quiet in the loss in game one, 4-0 by Purdue University North Central but the Wolves bounced back and won game two, 5-4.

The Wolves fall behind early in game one. In the top of the first inning Purdue North Central led 1-0 after Megan Olson (Hobart, Ind.) came around to score on a throwing error by Stritch.

The Wolves looked to be threatening in the bottom of the first but Brittany Rader (New Berlin, Wis.) got thrown out trying to steal third and then Kayla Schlegel (New Berlin, Wis.) struck out to end the inning.

Schlegel held the Panthers to no runs over the next three innings but in the top of the fifth inning, Lindsay Brandner (Griffith, Ind.) led off the inning by reaching base on an error by the shortstop. She came around to score to put Purdue North Central up, 2-0.

Purdue North Central went on to score two more runs in the top of the seventh inning to extend their lead to 4-0. Stritch did not have an answer and lost the game 4-0.

After Stritch picked up two hits in the first three innings the offense came to life. Kelly Gosselin (Batavia, Ill.) led off the inning with a double to left center and advanced to third on a ground out by Schlegel. Hillary Trebiatowski drove her in with a single to center field to cut the Panthers led to 3-1. Trebiatowksi scored when Stephanie Douglas (Muskego, Wis.) hit a sacrifice fly to right field. That would be all the Wolves would get in the fourth inning and trailed, after four complete 3-2.

Purdue North Central added onto their lead in the top of the fifth. Nicole Nickoson (Elkhart, Ind.) led off the inning with a double. She moved to third on a fly out to right. Nickoson scored on a passed ball to stretch the Panthers lead to 4-2.
