Liz Neitzel
Neitzel has averaged 25 points in the last three Stritch games
Milwaukee, Wis. – There has been little that 5-6 guard, Liz Neitzel hasn’t excelled at in the past few games, and there wasn’t anyone that didn’t notice. After leading the Wolves to their tenth straight win, Neitzel earned the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week award for the first time in her career.

Against Olivet Nazarene University, Neitzel scored 26 points and pulled down seven rebounds. She also added four assists and three steals in the match-up. The Wolves trailed throughout much of the game, but in the last few minutes Stritch came alive, fueled by Neitzel’s offensive burst, to capture a 94-88 win over the Tigers.

The Wolves took the floor again on Jan. 30, facing conference foe, Trinity Christian. Though the pairing didn’t cause quite as much excitement, as Stritch won big, 74-41, Neitzel again led in scoring. The Lomira, Wis. native put up 23 points against the Trolls. She also recorded five assists and three steals.

For Neitzel, it’s just another game. The sophomore has been strong all season, averaging 14.4 points a game. She also leads the league in three-point percentage, shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc. With the ability to score from anywhere on the court, one thing is clear - This young player is definitely at the top of her class.
