Stritch Falls Short Against TCC
Offense continues to struggle

Palos Heights, Ill. – The Cardinal Stritch University women’s soccer team couldn’t get any offense going against the Trinity Christian Trolls on Thursday. The Wolves fell 4-0 while being outshot 30-2 in the match.

Trinity Christian scored three times on 13 shots in the first period. Allison Doyle (New Lenox, Ill.), Trisha Airth (Upland, Cal.), and Claire Comerouski (Itasca, Ill.) each put on past Amy Weaver (Barnoldswick, England), who only earned three saves in the half. Comerouski scored on a penalty kick in the 22nd minute.

Weaver was able to come back strong in the second half, earning 12 saves and giving up only one goal to Carly Comerouski (Itasca, Ill.). The Wolves took only one shot in each period, one each by Lynn Podkororski (Oak Creek, Wis.) and Rhesia Baron (Accrington, England). Weaver finished the game with 15 saves.

Stritch falls to 2-11 overall and 1-4 in the CCAC with the loss. They return home on Saturday to face Trinity International University at 12:00 p.m. at Uihlein Soccer Park
