Rensselaer, Ind. – The Cardinal Stritch University Wolves women’s soccer team couldn’t find a way to score in a tight battle against Saint Joseph’s College. The two teams combined for only 11 shots in the match, with the Pumas coming out on top, 1-0.

The game remained scoreless until Stephanie Weithop (St. Louis, Mo.) drove up the middle, past Stritch defenders to put the ball into the back of the net at the 73:28 mark. This was the only successful drive for either team, and ended up to be the game winner for the Pumas.

Stritch Keeper, Amy Weaver (Barnoldswick, England), posted four saves in the game. The Wolves only managed to get off three shots, coming from Brenda Hernandez (Milwaukee, Wis.), Rhesia Baron (Accrington, England), and Sarah Potochich (New Berlin, Wis.).

The Wolves fall to 2-9 overall with the loss. Stritch remains on the road, and will face Olivet Nazarene on Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m.
